Today I found myself not working at work. Not that I didn’t want to, but I couldn’t. I couldn’t focus on anything. Then I sort of panicked and thought: “How can this be happening to me?”.
However, it did happen so the next thing I said to myself was something like let’s not make a big deal of it and instead turn it into a post. No, no, no, I didn’t do that.
What I did was typing TED Talks (Technology, Entertainment, Design talks by world’s leading thinkers and doers) on youtube.[I must admit I search something interesting, something inspirational whenever I am blocked- It's my way of handling brain blockage.]
And this is what I came across…. Jason Fried: Why Work Doesn’t Happen at Work? – it sounded like a hell of a video title to me, so check it out:
After, watching this video I realized that my lack of productivity today was due to the constant electric power and internet interruptions throughout the day (these were annoying involuntary distractions, believe me) .
Also, I thanked God that I don’t have an intruding manager.
Last but not least, I hope you enjoyed the video and found it informative. Have a nice work day and don’t forget:
