I hope many guys will enjoy reading this article as I’m about to write about the most desirable woman of 2012. At least according to a brand new AskMen.com poll.
So I am asking you guys: Is Sofia Vergara the most desirable one among women or not?

While males are staring at Sofia Vergara’s particular body parts and females are curiously examining her all, wondering what’s so sexy about her, I’m going to write a word or two about the Most Desirable Woman this year.
Apart from topping the list of 100 beautiful famous women worldwide at the age of almost 40, Vergara has been leading active acting career as well.
In July 2011, she finished filming for the Farrelly Brothers’ The Three Stooges, her first lead role in a film. And she “almost” starred in The Paperboy, Lee Daniels‘s independent drama. Sofia was forced to drop out from the Paperboy cast due to delays, the shooting was pushed back a week (which conflicted with Vergara shooting Season 3 of Modern Family).
Outside her acting career, the curvacious Colombian is active in the fashion world or more precisely in the modelling department. She was named the new face of CoverGirl, which will be her first ever campaign for the cosmetics company.
However, it’s no surprise that Sofia Vergara has graced the Cover Girl cover and over 100 other magazine covers. Did you know that the beautiful Colombian is an avid reader? Well, she is indeed: “I can read like crazy. I can sit down and read for four hours straight. I read up to three-four books a month.”
Another thing you might not know about Sofia is that the dark hair you see on her is a dye job. “I’m a natural blonde,” says Vergara, whose dark hair has helped her fit in better with Hollywood’s image. “It was ignorance: They thought every Latin person looks like Salma Hayek.”
No plastic surgery though, the voluptuous Sofia Vergara is all natural. “Maybe when I’m 45, I’ll think about it,” said Vergara. The 5′ 8″ actress and model had that famous figure as early as 13 years old.
Another real thing about the starlet is the accent you hear.“I go out to a mall or restaurant and when somebody hears me they’ll go, ‘Oh my God, it’s your real accent.’” Vergara admits that she lays it on a bit stronger for her character Gloria Pritchett.
Furthermore, she was married for the first time at 18 and at 20 she gave birth to her son Manolo in 1992. The marriage ended soon after and the actress studied pre-dentistry at a university in Colombia for three years.

Yes, Sofia Vergara would almost have been a dentist. She’s been an actress, model, television host and, again yes, Vergara almost took up dentistry in Colombia. “I had to do two more semesters [of school], she says, adding that she quit dental school to become a TV host. Still, her dental hygiene remains impeccable. “I’m obsessed,” she says. “My son thinks I’m crazy because I make him do a cleaning every three months. I try to bribe the dentist to make him to do it sooner!”
Sofia Vergara was discovered as a teen by a photographer on a Colombian beach. Her success in modeling and commercials helped to support her family.
Getting back to her being voted the most desirable woman of 2012, the brunette beauty said in a statement: “I am so honored to be AskMen’s most desired woman this year. A big thank you to all the men who desire me.”
More than one million votes were cast for the survey, which featured 11 of the honorees aged at least 35 or older, with 49-year-old Demi Moore the eldest in the list.
I also believe most of you my dear readers were surprised to find out Sofia’s [almost] 40, because she doesn’t look like it at all.

American model-and-actress Kate Upton was voted runner-up, while ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ actress Rooney Mara was in third, followed by Miranda Kerr and Nicki Minaj respectively.
Other stars to make up the list included singers Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce, as well as actresses Zooey Deschanel and flame-haired beauty Emma Stone.
