Kelly Clarkson points out that there is a difference between being single and being gay, obviously. The Stronger singer, who has been dogged by rumors about her sexuality, insists that if she was gay, she would just come out and say it.

Kelly Clarkson: "I'm Not Gay, OK!?"
The 29-year-old American Idol star, who has previously admitted that people think she’s gay because she is not married, said:
“I’m not gay. If I was, I’d say: ‘I love women!’ That’s why it drives me nuts. But I feel like even if I did say it, people would be like, ‘you’re just trying to do that to win the gay audience’.”
Kelly Clarkson was really surprised that people are really concerned about her relationship status. So, here is what she told Now Magazine:
“When I tell people I’m happy being single, they don’t believe me. They say: ‘You have to be miserable being alone’.”
And for another magazine, i.e., USA Today, she gave the following statement:
“I’ve never been in love. I’ve never experienced certain things, and I think that’s because I have this side of me that is shut off. Because I haven’t found anybody yet to open to that I feel like, ‘OK, you’re worth breaking down that wall for’. I’ve never found that.”

For now: Kelly Clarkson is single and proud. And heterosexual, of course.
