Adele Flips Middle Finger at Brit Awards

Alert! Adele has just turned into M.I.A.

Oh, no she didn't! Adele flips the middle finger at 'the suits' after Brit Awards host James Corden interrupted her speech as she collected her award for Album of the Year.

British chart-topping sensation Adele flipped off the crowd at the Brit Awards Tuesday night. The singer won prizes for album of the year and best British female solo artist, but while she was giving one of her acceptance speeches, she was cut off by host James Corden, so she gave the room the finger.

It wasn’t directed at her fans, you understand – they just got in the way – but at “the suits.

The 23-year-old was on stage accepting her second award of the night – after taking home Best Female Artist – presented by George Michael.

She said: ‘Thank you so much, thank you, thank you very, very much. Nothing beats coming home with six Grammys and then coming to the Brits and winning album of the year…I’m so proud to be flying the British flag for all of you.’

After Cordon, who was met with boos from the crowd, stepped in, Adele asked ‘Can I just say, then, goodbye and I’ll see you next time round?‘ followed by her flipping off the cameras.

“I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans. I’m sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me,” the Grammy award-winner told the BBC.

It was only two weeks ago that M.I.A was pulling the middle finger during a performance at the Super Bowl.

She also swore into the camera during a rap solo, alongside Madonna and Nicki Minaj.

The 36-year-old’s camp claimed she was struck with ‘a case of adrenaline and nerves’.

Award: George Michael presented Adele with her award before her speech was unceremoniously cut short.
