You remember them as the odd couple from The Muppet Show, and now it’s time to remember Muppets – Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy - for their fifth appearance on the most anticipated annual show, i.e., the Oscars.

A reason + to watch the Oscars: Miss Piggy and Kermit the frog
The power couple, who is currently present on the big screen in The Muppets, are set to make yet another appearance at the Academy Awards, where they’ll join the stellar list of presenters including Halle Berry, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Tom Hanks and Angelina Jolie.
Miss Piggy previously hinted that she may boycott this year’s ceremony, because of the Academy’s “refusal to recognise pigs as actors”, despite The Muppets winning a nomination for best original song with Bret McKenzie’s Man Or Muppet.
“I don’t know (if I will go). It’s wonderful to be nominated in the Best Song category, even if it wasn’t a song I sang. As for going to the Oscars, it’s hard to feel right about going to an event like that where you’re not really welcome,” she said.
Apart from the presenters who are likely to make the show worth-watching, the nominations themselves none the less increase our eagerness to watch the show.
Just to remind you, Martin Scorsese‘s family-friendly fantasy Hugo leads the Oscar nominations with 11 nods, followed closely by silent movie The Artist.
Steven Spielberg‘s War Horse and Woody Allen‘s Midnight In Paris are also up for various awards, while Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Gary Oldman has clinched his first Oscar nod.

As you can see Kermit the Frog is ready for the Oscar-giving ceremony.
I hope you’re ready for an exceptional, inspirational, celebrational, Muppet-ional Oscar show….because with the Muppets anything is possible…
