Yes, the new Carrie Bradshaw has been cast!

Many girls wished to be her, but there is only one girl who will actually get a chance to see what is it like to be in Carrie Bradshaw's shoes.
The CW has ordered a pilot of The Carrie Diaries, based on Candace Bushnell‘s novel about Carrie Bradshaw in her teenage years, and now the network has found an actress to fill Sarah Jessica Parker’s stilettos.
And the actress who has landed the starring role as the young Carrie is eighteen-year-old AnnaSophia Robb.
The new series is set in the 1980s, when high-schooler Carrie first discovers her infatuation with New York City. This prequel will let us meet Carrie as she grows up and learns about love, sex, friendship and family while still balancing the day-to-day drama of high school.

AnnaSophia Robb is CW's new Carrie Bradshaw.
Robb is mostly known for her work in movies, most recently starring in Soul Surfer and other kiddie fare like Race to Witch Mountain, Bridge to Terabithia and the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The Carrie Diaries comes from Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and costars Stefania Owen as Carrie’s 14-year-old sister Dorrit.
Now please tell us what do you think, is she the right choice for the role?
