Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley was arrested for driving under the influence and attempting to elude police, TMZ reports.

"All smiles on the mugshot"
Nick Fairley, the first-round pick last year who was arrested last month in Mobile, Alabama, and charged with possession of marijuana, has run afoul from the law again.
According to Fox10TV, Fairley was arrested after 1 a.m. this morning on Interstate 10. He posted $1,750 bond and was released at 9 a.m.
He was also charged with reckless driving, no proof of insurance and possessing an open container of alcohol.
Following the arrest, the Lions released their usual statement on these kinds of issues. It simply said that the team is “aware of the reports” and is “in the process of gathering more information.”
Fairley was the third Lions player from the 2010 draft to be arrested and charged with possession of marijuana this off-season. He is subject to discipline from the NFL.

Nick Fairley "will definitely face consequences" from the NFL.
