In the clip, which clocks in at just over 8 minutes, the Transformers star shares the screen with blonde actress Deena Thomsen as a couple who spend a lot of time jumping around a bed, licking lollipops, getting all agro over a bunch of butterflies and, oh yeah, serving up some serious skin.
For the record, the artsy video went viral right after it was released on the Internet Monday morning.
The Icelandic band gave control of the video to filmmaker Alma Har’el, who reportedly developed the concept with LaBeouf.
“Originally she was going to film us on Super-8 in Iceland all playing the piano lines from the song, but then she rang and said she’d met Shia LaBeouf and they’d changed the idea,” band bassist Georg Holm told Rolling Stone.
The video itself is an artistic interpretation about the struggles of various addictions.
