Sad news for all female fans of Grey’s Anatomy! Sorry girls, but the halls of Seattle Grace will become a whole lot less steamy, as Eric Dane is leaving the show.
The infamous but exceedingly handsome Mark Sloan aka McSteamy, played by actor Eric Dane, is reportedly leaving the hit ABC series.

Much to the dismay of female fans everywhere, Eric Dane is leaving 'Grey's Anatomy.'
The last time fans got a glimpse of Sloan was at the end of season 8, when he was lying in a hospital bed. Even though creator Shonda Rhimes has previously hinted that this won’t be the last time viewers to see the dreamy doc, recent Dane’s statement tells the opposite:
Dane’s departure comes right after Kim Raver and Chyler Leigh left “Grey’s Anatomy.” At the end of season 8, Lexie died in a plane crash, which left Mark clinging to life. Hate to say this, but our guesses are that he will be probably dead by the next season, which is said to be completely “unknown”.
The three departures didn’t go unnoticed though. Rhimes took to Twitter to address them all:
“This finale was incredibly hard to write. I did not enjoy it. It made me sick and it made me sad. We end the season not knowing ANYTHING about the future. Except for two things. We know we are definitely saying goodbye to two of my favorite people: Chyler Leigh (Lexie) and Kim Raver (Teddy).”
