Believe it or not, Snoop Dogg a.k.a. Snoop Lion said that he would love to join the judging panel on “American Idol”!
Snoop Dogg would LOVE to fill the last remaining judging spot on the show.
After hearing of the millions of dollars judges earn on the Fox competition, the 40-year-old star said: “I’ll do ‘American Idol” and told his manager to “get on it”.
There were also rumors that Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams are to be frontrunners to fill the remaining judging spots on the show.
“Idol” is looking for new judge(s) for the upcoming season 12, which will kick off in early 2013, after Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez announced that they are leaving the show.
Jennifer Lopez‘ judging spot was filled by Mariah Carey, who will get a whopping $18 million for her first year on the show. However, Steven Tyler’s seat is still up for grabs!
In case you didn’t know, Snoop Dogg announced earlier this week that he’s using the name Snoop Lion for an upcoming reggae album.
He now considers himself a Rastafarian after what he calls a life-changing trip to Jamaica, and is also releasing a documentary called Reincarnated about his rebirth.
Both the album and film are called ‘Reincarnated.’
