Blake Fielder-Civil, the ex-husband of Amy Winehouse, is fighting for life after being rushed to hospital in a critical condition due to apparent drink and drug binge.
He is currently on life support, doctors were practically forced to put him in a coma after his multiple organ failures.

The 30-year-old Blake was reportedly found in bed choking on his vomit by his partner Sarah Aspin – the mother of his 15-month-old son. Here’s how Sarah explained the events prior to the overdose:
“We’d been so happy last Thursday morning and talked about getting married. Blake had a 1pm appointment with the probation service in Morley, and said he might be late as he was meeting a friend. He’s never really been a drinker, but when he got home with this friend, he was slurring his words and staggering – I thought he was on something. I was very angry because he’d been doing so well. I had to get his shoes and trousers off to help him into bed. [The] next morning I went to get up and heard a horrid scratching and grating breathing sound. I looked round and saw Blake lying there completely grey. His eyes were rolled back and his mouth was locked together.”
Fielder-Civil’s life-threatening situation comes almost 13 months after the death of his ex-wife Amy Winehouse, who struggled with her own addictions, but lost the battle in the end.
Even though Blake was often blamed for starting the singer’s drug abuse, Amy’s father was touched by the terrible news about his ex-son-in-law and took to Twitter to express his sadness:
“Remember Amy loved him,” posted Mitch Winehouse. “Let’s pray for his recovery.”
Blake Fielder-Civil and Amy Winehouse had a turbulent relationship, marked with violent fights, as well as heavy use of cocaine, heroin and ecstasy.
