Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah is one of the most covered songs of all time, but this version is simply amazing.
Some have said that the mystery musician is in fact Prague’s Alexander Zoltan, who also plays Bach, ABBA, the Beatles and Led Zeppelin on the “glass harp”.
It has been said that Zoltan has built his glass harp in Australia in the 1980s and so far has recorded two CDs.
In this video the musician plays the music of Hallelujah using 33 glasses in front of stunned passers.
What interesting is that ‘Hallelujah’ had little success when Cohen released it in 1984.
However, through out the years ‘Hallelujah’ has been covered by many musicians including John Cale, Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright.
